Washington Technical Magnet School Host NJROTC Inspection Ceremony

 Washington Technical Magnet School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) held an inspection ceremony for Area 3 NJROTC manager Commander (Ret) Joe Hankins on October 28, 2021 in the high school gymnasium.  The official party for the ceremony included Cmdr. Hankins, Vice Principal, Cmdr. (Ret) Bob Dolan, Vice President of Membership – Minnesota Navy League Council, Patricia Dolan, Vice President of Communication – Minnesota Navy League Council and LtCmdr. Byron Toole, Senior Naval Science Instructor.

 Area Commanders perform annual inspections of all NJROTC units. The Cadet Performance portion of the inspection consists of a personnel inspection, drill and color guard demonstrations, award presentations, a pass-in-review, and a cadet brief. 

 The inspection also looks at the Administration of the Program, School System Program Support, the Academic Program, and Reports and Records. 

 During the ceremony, Cmdr. Hankins presented Appearance awards to recognize the most outstanding cadets. 

 Additionally, Cadet Commander Ly was presented the Navy League Theodore Roosevelt Youth certificate, medal and ribbon by Cmdr. (Ret) Bob Dolan for her outstanding performance of duty in the Washington Tech NROTC program. 

 The ceremony was concluded with a pass in review by the cadets with a salute to the official party.
