Members of the Jacksonville, Florida-based crew are traveling to the Twin Cities in order to learn more about the cities that they will represent.
The US Navy is commissioning a warship called the “USS Minneapolis Saint Paul.”
It is currently undergoing sea trials on the Great Lakes, and members of the Jacksonville, Florida-based crew are traveling to the Twin Cities in order to learn more about the cities that they will represent in ports around the world.
The vessel will be commissioned – that is, turned over to the Navy – in Duluth in late summer 2020.
