The Minnesota Navy League Council is a Council of the Navy League of the United States.  The Minnesota Navy League Council is a nonprofit civilian organization that supports the U.S. Navy and the Coast Guard. Through national and local programs, the Navy League of the United States provides a powerful voice to educate the public and Congress on the importance of our Sea Services to our nation’s defense.

Namesake Adopted Units ready for Action

USS MINNESOTA SSN 783

USS MINNESOTA is home ported in Guam. She is the first Virginia-class fast attack submarine based there. She joins 4 Los Angeles-class (688i - improved) fast attack boats previously based in Guam.

USS MINNEAPOLIS SAINT PAUL LCS 21

The Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul LCS 21, with the “Valkyries” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 50 Detachment 3 and an embarked U.S. Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment, departed Naval Station Mayport, Florida, on March 26 to begin its maiden deployment in support of U.S. 4th Fleet operations.

MINNEAPOLIS SAINT PAUL LCS 21 arrived back in her home port of Naval Station Mayport in mid-October 2025, ending her initial deployment.

  • December 13, 2025 - Army Navy Game at the Ballentine VFW on Lyndale Ave in Uptown (Minneapolis) 1pm until the end of the game!

Help the Minnesota Navy League PRESERVE Minnesota’s Naval Heritage!

 The Minnesota Navy League is partnering with the MMVM to support Minnesota Naval Heritage. Central to the Museum will be the USS Minneapolis Saint Paul (SSN 708) sail and rudder as well as the gun from the USS Ward (DD-139) which sank a Japanese Midget Submarine on December 7, 1941. The Gun was manned by St. Paul reservists.
